The Loud House Guide to Winning Your Siblings Over

PRESS RELEASE

Ever had a sibling who tattles on you to mum? Or the sibling who borrows your clothes without asking? How about that sibling who sneakily puts thumbtacks in your seat just to laugh at you shriek while holding your sore bum?

In Nickelodeon’s (Singtel TV Ch 240 and StarHub TV Ch 314) new original animated comedy series, The Loud House, Lincoln Loud and his 10 sisters bring a whole lot of havoc and he gives an inside look at what it takes to survive the chaos of a huge family. The Loud House opens its doors on weekdays at 5pm (WIB), 5.30pm (TH), 6pm (MY/PH) and 6.30pm (HK/SG/TW).

Here is The Loud House guide to some of the quirky siblings you may encounter and how you can win them over. If you have brothers or sisters or know someone who has, this one is for you.

The Middle Child (Lincoln Loud, 11)

We’ve all heard this one before: People think that the middle child is quiet and reserved. What nobody told you is, like Lincoln Loud, the middle child is often street smart and wise. He has learned that surviving in the Loud household means staying a step ahead and thinking of ways to deal with problems, even if things inevitably go wrong.

How to win him/her over: Be their friend. Get to know what the middle child is up to and you could be allowed in on the secret to beating the rest of your siblings to the shower.

The Bossy One (Lori Loud, 17)

This sibling sees himself/herself as the boss of all the siblings. Usually the oldest (but mostly the bossiest), they possess an I can because I can attitude with a strong, no-laughing-matter demeanor. But beyond that harsh exterior, they are softies who are protective of their siblings. Just like Lori Loud, she needs an extra dose of respect, but it’s worth it because she can be a great ally.

How to win him/her over: Speak to him/her nicely, and show appreciation for the sacrifices he/she has made.

The Joker (Luan Loud, 14)

Meet the stand-up comedian of the family. Optimistic, witty and endowed with a touch of mischief, this is also the sibling who is always pulling pranks on his/her siblings. Like Luan Loud, you have to be on your toes whenever he/she is around. He/she is also the one you will run to on a bad day. This sibling never lets anything get them down because to them, laughter IS the best medicine.

How to win him/her over: Laugh at his/her jokes. Yes, laugh even if they are not funny.

The Sporty One (Lynn Loud, 13)

If you’ve got shelves of sports trophies that don’t belong to you, you’ve probably got the athletic sibling who is brave, competitive, and accepts any dare. He/she is good at football, basketball, badminton, swimming, oh wait - have I mentioned football? Walking beside him/her makes you feel cooler and like Lynn Loud, this is the sibling who will turn anything into a sport. Putting away eggs? Jump shot! Score!

How to win him/her over: Join his/her football team, but not until you polish your skills and are absolutely certain you can score a goal.

The Princess (Lola Loud, 6)

A self-proclaimed beauty queen, this sister loves glitter, photoshoots, beauty pageants and make-up tutorials. She takes hours to prepare before leaving the house, but not before sneaking in to your closet to ‘borrow’ a dress or two. If you’ve got a sister like Lola Loud, don’t let her smile fool you. Underneath all the sugar and spice, she’s the eyes and ears of the household and never resists an opportunity to tattle on a troublemaker. Stay on her good side and you’ve got yourself an ally – and a lifetime supply of free makeovers.

How to win her over: Get her some glitter, and maybe that lipstick as well.

The Smarty Pants (Lisa Loud, 4)

This sibling is the brain of the family. He/she is the one whom your grades are constantly being compared to, and whose homework you wished the dog would eat. If you’ve got a sibling like Lisa Loud, you’ll probably find him/her in their second home the most – the laboratory. That said, he/she will always be your go-to-person for help with homework.

How to win him/her over: Ever heard of the phrase, Tell me something I don’t know? If you can pull it off, he/she is guaranteed to be impressed.

With this guide, you will sail through the ebb and flow that is siblinghood and when the current gets too strong, always remember that you’re lucky it can’t be as chaotic as living in The Loud House!
