Wishing Spheres in the Heartlands

26 more days to go before the end of 2014, have you penned your wishes on the wishing spheres?

As mentioned in my previous post (click HERE) the Wishing Sphere Project is a uniquely Singapore event held annually to bid farewell to one year and herald in the new year. A representation of the collective of hopes and dreams of all Singaporeans, a meaningful initiative which bonds the community.

If you don't already know there are wishing stations located in the heartlands too so there is no excuse not to find and visit your nearest wishing station!

Over the weekend we visited Century Square, which is where one of the wishing stations is located to soak in the atmosphere.

The place was packed with parents and kids all eager to pen and draw their wishes on the spheres.

Smitten by the wishing bug we too decided to pen down our wishes.

To the environmentally conscious people you will be glad to know the markers used to pen down wishes on the wishing spheres are non-toxic and free of chemicals thus will not pollute the water nor affect marine life.

I came across the following wish that reminds me that life is not all about materialism but it is the simple things in life that gives us hope and keeps us going...

For your convenience here is a list of the Wishing Stations located island wide!
