MTV to Debut "Nine Days & Nights of Ed Sheeran" Globally with New, Intimate Documentary Chronicling the Global Star's Road to his new album, "X"

SINGAPORE, 2 JUNE 2014 - MTV today announced the debut of its inaugural new music-documentary franchise “Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran,” which will feature unmatched access to the chart-topping British singer-songwriter and premiere Friday, 13 June at 7.30pm (WIB), 8.30pm (SG/HK) and 9.30pm (MAL). One of the fastest-rising global stars in pop music today, “Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran” will also air internationally on MTV channels around the world (check local listings).

The documentary will show an illuminating portrait of a young artist at a critical juncture in his life, filled with the energy of a career that he hopes is largely ahead of him. In Sheeran’s own words, “[‘x’, pronounced multiply] is literally a make or break situation for me after a successful first album.” Fans will receive an intimate look at Sheeran in the studio, insight into the man who has built his career on his own terms, back in his hometown of Framlingham, Suffolk in England and performing his new music publicly for the first time, all in advance of the 23rd June worldwide release of “X.”




MTV’s new documentary franchise “Nine Days and Nights” will capture the story of one artist at a turning point in their life and career. The series is a continuation of the highly rated, award-winning music documentaries that have captivated MTV viewers in recent years featuring the likes of such superstars as Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears,Demi Lovato and most recently with "Miley: The Movement".

Radical Media is the production company for “Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran.” Dave Sirulnick, Jonathan Mussman and Joanna Bomberg serve as Executive Producers for MTV.
