SINGAPORE, 10 APRIL 2014MTV Asia today released a video and content containing hilarious GIFs giving fans “7.5 Reasons Not to Miss the 2014 MTV Movie Awards,” which airs on Monday, 14 April at8pm (WIB), 9pm (SIN/HK/PH) and 10pm (MAL).


It has also unleashed complete movie mayhem in the lead-up to the “2014 MTV Movie Awards” with its first-ever online “MTV Movie Awards Takeover at www.mtvasia.com/movieawards. The webpage features takeovers by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Dwayne Johnson, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Rose Byrne, Dave Franco, Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler and more.

The “2014 MTV Movie Awards” will debut an exclusive sneak peek from the next superhero installment of the blockbuster franchise X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST set for release on 21 May (Indonesia) and 22 May (Singapore/Hong Kong/Malaysia/Philippines). On hand to present the explosive clip will be Ellen Page, starring in the summer smash as Kitty Pryde.

Over the course of the next few days till Saturday, 12 April, the casts of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy, 22 Jump Street, Hercules, Neighbors and Blended will dish with MTV’s Josh Horowitz on must-see moments from their upcoming films, look back at favorite past “Movie Awards” moments and handicap the race for this year’s Golden Popcorn in short-form segments airing around MTV’s programming.

MTV is also expanding its robust roster of mega stars to hand out golden popcorn to include Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Levine, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Chris Pratt and Miles Teller. In addition, the network confirmed today that nominees Backstreet Boys Brian Littrell and AJ McLean, Will Poulter, Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Jackson Nicoll and Liam James will attend the show.
